ett Lucas is a busy mom (of five), wife and businessperson. She works full time in the energy industry, and has won numerous awards for her leadership and charitable projects.

She loves sharing the helpful life lessons she is learning through her own journey: mom and wife in a large family, executive in a male-dominated industry, leader in community and school projects.

Bett believes you can manage a career and home life, and wants to inspire those juggling both—or hoping to. “Women should be proud of who they are at home and in the workplace.”

A key balancing element is regaining and maintaining health. She challenges women to take back their health, reminding them that doing so is not selfish…that by being healthier, they can contribute more fully at home and work.

Bett shares her own story, and those of others, on topics such as career, family, health and weight loss. Her goal is to provide the tools and information to help others be their best.

She and her husband live on ten acres in Gig Harbor, WA, with their children, two dogs, twelve chickens and four cats. Her hobbies include golf, theater, gardening, hiking, biking and kayaking. Bett loves a good bargain (JCPenney and Target are current faves), wearing hats, dancing and a good glass of sauvignon blanc.

Health & Weight Loss Journey

Your health needs to be a priority or nothing else can be. After having my fourth child, I realized my health had taken a back seat to my family and career. I was 40 pounds overweight, physically and mentally worn out.

I tried many diets…even a personal trainer. Nothing worked. I felt stuck and assumed this was my new normal.

But on my journey I discovered new tools that have totally worked. I have energy I never thought possible. I’ve realized now that by taking care of myself, I’m better able to serve my world: I can be a better mom, wife and businessperson, living out God’s calling for my life.

I love sharing real and attainable tips on weight loss, exercise and nutrition. Not only will you be stronger physically and emotionally, you will be able to maintain your weight loss. With juggling a career and big family, I don’t have endless hours to work out or fuss over tedious meal preparation. Like me, you’ll be amazed how simple health can be.
