Laurie’s Story
Menopause dealt a crushing blow when stubborn hormonal fat hit hard, causing Laurie to suddenly gain 50 pounds. The weight loss and health tricks that worked in the past made no difference.
After four years of struggle an unexpected video turned the course of her life, and she started Intermittent Fasting immediately. Within days the menopausal fog lifted and she felt more “like herself.” Laurie has restored her health, slender weight, and at 57-years old has been happily practicing Intermittent Fasting for over three years.
Currently, Laurie is changing thousands of lives through her Intermittent Fasting group programs and personal coaching business. She combines a no-nonsense coaching approach with her keen listening and authentic caring.
Combining a 20+ year study of nutrition (Certification, Institute for Integrative Nutrition) with deep research and practice of Time Restricted Eating, she guides her clients with a dream come true — eat the foods you love and enjoy the rest of your life feeling vibrantly well.
A happy New Yorker for 24 years, Laurie surprised even herself by moving to Portland, Oregon. She loves the thoughtful and grounded environment of this friendly west coast city. Practicing Vipassana meditation, hiking in the woods near her house, and savoring the culinary delights in Portland all contribute to the richness of her life.
Her desire to share her healing process led her to write an Intermittent Fasting workbook. Published this year on March 8th, International Women’s Day, “Celebrating Your Vibrant Future: Intermittent Fasting for Women 44 to Forever” is the gift every woman needs. The book starts with a “hug,” is filled with your personal journey, and ends with Love Letters from you…to you.
