I never did a long fast like Jeff, but watching his story inspired me on my journey immensely. He helped me realize that if he can do weeks of water fasting, then I could do a day or even more! Even if you never plan to fast remember: boldness inspires boldness. Courage inspires courage. We can do hard things! Never give up my friends. I had struggled with my weight and appetite all my life. Fat as a kid, to an old guy. Lost it and gained back many times.
Through extended fasts I lost most of my weight last year and have now kept it off for 9 months. Soon I’ll be 50 and maybe in the best shape since high school. I don’t work that hard at it either. 270lbs to 185lbs. XXL shirt to S/M. Pant from 42 to 30in waist. Lost high blood pressure and T2 diabetes level blood sugar too!
My maintenance way of eating is Carnivore with as natural and farm raised foods as possible. I include lots of beef, eggs, some dairy, coffee, seafood and organ meats. No industrial seed oils. Plenty of sunshine (w/o sunscreen every day). I salt liberally and take Magnesium since it’s not as abundant as it once was in food and water. I do track my food in an app because I like to. I weigh myself seldom (maybe weekly). Weight lift a couple times per week and swimming, yoga or tennis a couple times a week. I love walking too.
No more health issues, no medications needed. Labs great!
